The Defensive Driving Class is a 4 hour program approved by the State of Colorado. This class is taught using the National Safety Council EDAP curriculum. This course is similar to “Alive at 25” and will meet requirements for teens to get their drivers permit at age 15 ½. STUDENTS MUST BE AT LEAST 15 ½ TO TAKE THE CLASS.
The 4 hour course is conducted in our classroom at 32 N Selig in Montrose CO. The curriculum includes rules and regulations of the road. Students will be exposed to how to safely share the road with other roadway users.
As an option, we offer a complementary permit test to all classroom students at the conclusion of every in person class.
THE STATE OF COLORADO REQUIRES ALL STUDENTS TO APPLY FOR A PREREGISTRATION CODE AT mydmv.colorado.gov IN ORDER TO ENROLE IN THE 4 HOUR EDAP COURSE AND FOR US TO ISSUE YOUR STUDENTS CLASS AFFIDAVIT. YOU WILL NEED THE CODE TO RESERVE A SEAT IN ANY OF THE CLASSES.
