Montrose Driving Education (MDE) is BOST certified by the State of Colorado meaning we are certified to give both the Colorado Written Permit Test and the Colorado State Road Test. The DMV no longer conducts road tests at their locations.

► Testing is available 7 days a week from sunrise to sunset by appointment only.  A small convenience fee applies to evening and weekend appointments to help keep you rolling 7 days a week. 

► We do not offer self-scheduling online so please call 970-249-8891 for an appointment. Due to high call volume, we are unable to monitor or return voicemail messages. If you don't reach us right away, we are likely assisting another driver so please be patient and try again.

The assessment is not conducted on the official State Road Test route and does not guarantee a passing score. Passing depends on student's individual driving performance.

Road tests expire if not used to obtain a license within six (6) months from completion per state statute.
