Learn to Drive with MONTROSE DRIVING EDUCATION

Minor Instruction Permit at age 15

• Complete an approved Drivers Education course:

               ○    30-hour Classroom Course; or

               ○    30-hour Online Course

• Earn an 80% or better on written test to obtain a minors instructional Permit at age 15

• Complete the six-hour behind-the-wheel training with a certified instructor (required if you live within 30 miles of a drive school)

• Hold Colorado drivers permit for 12 months

• Log 50 hours of driving with someone 21 years or older with valid drivers license, using the Road Ready App or the Colorado state log sheet

               ○    40 hours of daytime driving

               ○    10 hours of nighttime driving

• Pass a driving test with state approved commercial driving school.

• Complete an approved Drivers Education course:

               ○    4-hour Classroom Course; or

               ○    30-hour Classroom Course; or

               ○    30-hour Online Course

• Earn an 80% or better on written test to obtain a minors instructional Permit at age 15 1/2

• Hold Colorado drivers permit for 12 months

• Log 50 hours of driving with someone 21 years or older with valid drivers license, using the Road Ready App or the Colorado state log sheet

               ○    40 hours of daytime driving

               ○    10 hours of nighttime driving

• Pass a driving test with state approved commercial driving school.

• Earn an 80% or better on written test to obtain a Minor Instruction Permit at age 16

• Hold a minors instructional permit for 12 months

• Log 50 hours of driving with someone 21 years or older with valid drivers license, using the Road Ready App or the Colorado state log sheet

        ○    40 hours of daytime driving
